❝I have lived in Bircotes my entire life. It was built shortly after World War One to house the miners who would come to work at the newly sunken Harworth Colliery. Harworth was around much longer but, slowly over time, the two villages have become one. Until now, there have been very few images of either Harworth or Bircotes to appear in the public domain. Certainly, there is no extensive body of work that has documented how they look at any given time. With this body of work I shall change that. The images you see here are the start of an archive that will continue over, hopefully, years.❞
